Bereavement Counsellor - Parental Leave Contract-12 months
EPC is seeking an experienced bereavement counsellor to cover the Bereavement Palliative Support Clinician leave which will occur from late March 2026 for 12 months – or until the incumbent returns.
We require 3 days per week to cover this role, ideally working Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
You would require the following to be eligible:
- A mandatory relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology.
- Post graduate qualification in bereavement, or in the process of / prepared to commit to undertaking postgraduate studies, in the area of grief and loss or relevant experience in providing bereavement counselling.
- Eligibility for membership of, or registration by, relevant professional bodies.
- Along with your relevant qualifications, you will have experience working with people experiencing grief and loss.
- Ability to provide counselling interventions to meet the needs of clients and their carers/families.
- Experience in group facilitation and group presentations.
- Highly-developed interpersonal, communication & organisational skills.
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team and in community palliative care will be well regarded.
- Current drivers’ license and good driving record.
