Help fund on-call services with a tax deductible donation

Give a tax-deductible donation to help fund our 24/7 on call service for families in need

Meet Jan & Neale

For Jan and her family, caring for her husband Neale at home is an act of love, one that also carries enormous responsibility.

Neale has been living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for 13 years. As his illness has progressed, everyday moments have become more complex. Simple tasks now require planning, teamwork and strength.

That's where Eastern Palliative Care (EPC) stepped in.

EPC’s team supports Neale to remain at home, surrounded by familiarity, his family, his routines and the comfort of having their dogs close by. Nurses visit regularly, responding to changes in Neale’s needs with calm professionalism and deep compassion.

One night, a medical pump unexpectedly came out. Jan hesitated before calling EPC, worried it was too late, worried she might be bothering somebody.

“But they were there in about half an hour,” she says. “They fixed it, reassured us and off they went. They never make you feel like it’s a problem. They say ‘This is what we do.’”

EPC’s after-hours triage service ensures every client has 24-hour access to a senior specialist palliative care nurse, offering peace of mind, support and reassurance.

This tax time, we are asking for you to help support EPC's 24/7 on call service, so families like Jan's can have peace of mind, day or night, when they need it most.

“When you’re caring about someone who is very unwell, knowing there’s someone at the other end of the phone if something goes wrong is a massive relief,” Jan says. “It’s knowing you’re not alone.”

Because of EPC, Neale has been able to remain at home, something deeply important to him.

EPC relies on the generosity of our community to continue providing this level of compassionate, expert care.

Your tax-deductible donation this tax time will ensure our on call nurses are always available when families need reassurance, guidance or urgent care. Even in the middle of the night, when everything feels overwhelming.

Will you donate to our tax appeal today and help provide peace of mind to those who need it most?
